The Grenfell Tower site is managed by the DepartmentMinistry forof LevellingHousing, Up,Communities Housing and Communities.Local Government. It is the department’s job to keep the towerTower secure and stable until a decision is made about its future.stable.
One of the things the department does is to keep the towerTower enclosed in two layers of protective wrapping. The outside layer of the wrapping needs to be updated once a year. This year, the banners at the top of the tower are also being replaced. Here we explain why, and how the rewrapping process is managed.
