  1. We've updated the guidance for checking where products can be imported from. To check the approved countries for trade samples, refer to the document for ‘animal by-products’. To check the approved countries for display items containing fish, refer to the document for ‘other fishery products'.

  2. Updated 'Import of display items - Import Information Note (IIN) ABP/29'. In the 'Authorisations' section for 'EU and EFTA member states', added a link to the general licences and authorisations to import live animals or animal products.

  3. In the Import Information Note ABP/29 for the import of display items, we updated the link to the recently updated general import authorisation IMP/GEN/2025/04.

  4. The link to the authorisation 'EU display items IMP/GEN/2024/06' has been replaced with a link to 'EU display items IMP/GEN/2025/02'. This is in response to the outbreak of foot and mouth disease in Germany.
