Frontier workers

If you live in Croatia, you must exchange your non-Croatian licence for a Croatian one. You do not need to take a driving test. You cannot use an International Driving Permit (IDP) instead of exchanging your licence.

Registering a vehicle in Croatia
If you have lived in Croatia before 1 January 2021, you will be issued with black printed license plates. When registering your vehicle, you should bring your ‘Dozvola boravka’ with you, to prove your rights under the UKWithdrawal Agreement.
