Lists of confined establishments in Great Britain, Jersey and the Isle of Man approved to export or move captive-bred birds to the EU or Northern Ireland.

Details

Your premises must be approved as a confined establishment by the competent authority in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), Jersey and the Isle of Man if you’re exporting or moving captive-bred birds to the EU and Northern Ireland for:

  • exhibitions
  • education
  • conservation
  • research

Confined establishments are permanent premises, such as zoos or laboratories.

The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) is the competent authority in Great Britain.

  5. Updated the approval dates on the table for 'Confined establishments in Great Britain' for Edinburgh Zoo, Camperdown Country Park, Five Sisters Zoo and West Midlands Safari Park. Also added entry for Desert Falcons Ltd.

  6. Updated the approval date for Maydale Falcons to 11 August 2022. This appears under 'Confined establishments in Great Britain'.

  7. We have removed 2 entries from the list 'Confined establishments in Great Britain'. These are 'Elite Falconry' and 'H Knowles-Brown Ltd'.

  8. Updated approval dates for The Welsh Hawking Centre and Fife Zoo. Added Peak Wildlife Park to the GB list.

  9. Updated approval dates for Border Falcons, Five Sisters Zoo, and Edinburgh Zoo.

  10. Added Camperdown Wildlife Centre to list of approved establishment.

  11. We have added two additional entries for the list 'Confined establishments in Great Britain'. These are 'Maydale Falcons' (CB/S/22/00002) and 'Border Falcons' (CB/S/22/00003).
