Early years stronger practice hubs

This guidance is for practitioners who are seeking information about the early years stronger practice hubs programme and the hubs that have been established in every government office region across England.

Hubs support other early years settings to improve outcomes for children in their local community, specifically focusing on those areas that were most affected by COVID-19:COVID-19 such as:

  • personal, social and emotional development
  • communication and language
  • early literacy and maths

  1. The programme is funded until late March 2025. We have updated the ‘background’ section.

  2. Removed partner 'The Oaks Primary School' from the East of England stronger practice hub.

  3. Added partner 'Pen Green Centre' to the East Midlands Early Years Stronger Practice Hub.

  4. Added partner 'Claire's Little Farmers' to the Yorkshire and Humber Together Early Years Stronger Practice Hub.

  5. Added Claire Fitzgerald (childminder) to the list of partners for the Heart - Midlands Early Years Stronger Practice Hub.

  6. Added partner Ludwick Nursery School to East of England Hub 1.

  7. Added partner Kim Barnetson - Kim’s Kids Childminder to East of England Hub 1. Removed partner Pen Green Centre (0 to 3 provision) from East Midlands Hub 2 and partner Becky’s Tiny Teddies from South West Hub 2.

  8. Added names of 6 early years stronger practice hubs. Removed Adderley Nursery School from West Midlands Heart – Midlands Early Years Stronger Practice Hub. Added Muddy Boots as a partner setting for Yorkshire and Humber Together Early Years Stronger Practice Hub. Added local authority names to the lead settings.
