The NHS diabetic eye screening (DES) programme uses the TAT system to ensure all graders work to nationally accepted standards.

All regular DES graders should participate in TAT. This document explains the different categories of graders who work in the programme and the standards they must meet.

More information on the training and accreditation of DES staff can be found on the DES education and training page.
