This release strategy acts as the formal notice of changes to any future releases of the pensioners’ incomes publication.

The release strategy highlights the potential release of new statistics within the publication and announces any other developments for future publications.

The release strategy is not a static document. It will be updated as plans develop, to provide users with details of latest developments.

Note, our statistical practice is regulated by the Office for Statistics Regulation.Regulation (OSR).

  1. 'FRS boost' section renamed to Family Resources Survey (FRS) sample size. Also, wording changed to 'We expect a final achieved sample for the year of nearly 17,000 households, rather than the 20,000 originally intended' as gaining household response continued to be challenging throughout this FRS survey year, the primary challenge remained the recruitment and retention of sufficient interviewers. Updated 'Grossing Plans' section unable to use the 2021 Census as planned in our grossing plans as it will not be available in time to be used for our March 2025 publication. Updated the 'Inclusion of Cost of Living payments in estimates of income' section will be including Cost of Living payments in our estimates and continue to for each applicable year on top of the FYE 2024 publication. Removed 'ISBN number' to remain consistent with the FRS release strategy. Removed ‘Note, our statistical practice is regulated by the Office for Statistics Regulation’ as this will be included in the main publication Background Information and Methodology to remain consistent with the FRS team.
