Maritime ports and wharves location codes for Data Element 5/23 of the Customs Declaration Service

Find the codes which can be used in Data Element 5/23 to identify the location where the goods may be examined for maritime ports and wharves (Appendix 16C).

Details

Using the relevant codes from the list, enter the location where the goods are held at the time of making the declaration, separate guidance is available for Roll on Roll off (RoRo) movements.

The code for the location to be declared in Data Element 5/23 is shown in column 2.

  22. Maritime ports and wharves duplicate code (GBAUDNUARGHLM) has been removed.

  24. Codes have been added for Alexander Wharf in Barking and Dowlais Wharf in Cardiff.

  26. The location code GBAUHULHULHKI for King George Dock has been added.

  28. Codes have been added for Sibelco Bulk Clay Ports (Marine) at Bideford and 2 Plymouth locations.

  30. Additions to Maritime ports and wharves location codes for Tranmere - Essar Oil North and South Jetty, Chatham Docks Southside - Aggregate Industries and Birkenhead - Finsa UK Ltd Vitorria Wharf.

  32. Details at Aberdeen, Northfleet, Pembroke, Skewen, Southampton and Teignmouth have been added.

  34. Codes have been added for Lafarge Wharf in Grays, Alexandra Dock in Newport and South Dock in Newport.

  36. A facility for Portrack Seafreight Ltd at Billingham has been added.

  38. This page has been updated with additions for DFDS Seaways, Milford Haven Port Authority, Morris & Co (Handlers) Ltd, Associated British Ports, Belfast Harbour, Doyle Shipping Group (DSG) Belfast Ltd, Frontier Agriculture Ltd, Grimaldi, Heyn Group Ltd, London Container Terminal and Marchwood Military Port.

  40. This page has been updated to include information about Castletown, Isle of Man.

  42. Minor outdated guidance has been removed.

  44. This page has been updated to reflect amended location details, specifically changes to Milford Haven South Hook LNG Berths 1 & 2, Milford Haven Dragon LNG Wharf, Northfleet Terminal Wharf, Northfleet Tower Wharf and Stromness.
