Details
The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) closed on 31 March 2025. All activity has moved to the Department for Education (DfE). You should continue to follow this guidance.
This guidance sets out the principles and features of our funding system for the 2024 to 2025 funding year (1 August to 31 July) for ESFADepartment for Education (DfE) funded ASF delivery. We may make changes to these principles and features during the funding year.

We have published version 3 of the adult skills fund – funding rates and formula guidance 2024 to 2025. This version incorporates amendments to the Free Courses for Jobs (FCFJ) section to align with the latest ASF funding rules.We have also included new annexes to help you understand how each element of funding is claimed and recorded under each of the funding models.
