This Knowledge base profile has been updated in the Name section to confirm Netherlands passports may show a wife of name, with the prefix of ‘echtgenote van’ or ‘e/v’ or spouse of name, with the prefix of ‘epouse de’. And to show when HM Passport Office will add an observation to the British passport referencing the name shown in the customer’s foreign passport and tell examiners about when a child can be given a double-barrelled surname in the Netherlands.
