Responses to the consultation on the Proposed Decision to designate Google as having Strategic Market Status (SMS) in relation to general search and search advertising services will be considered by the CMA ahead of its final decision whether to designate Google.

Some responses published above also include comments on the CMA’s Roadmap of proposed interventions should the CMA designate Google as having SMS. We have published these comments, where they have been submitted as part of a response to the consultation on the Proposed Decision. We have not published comments that relate solely to the Roadmap, which we continue to receive as part of our ongoing stakeholder engagement. Stakeholders are welcome to provide comments on the Roadmap at any time to searchsms@cma.gov.uk. We intend to publish an updated version of the Roadmap in early 2026.
