Protests and violent disorder have taken place in Antananarivo with some significant incidents of violence, including looting. Furtherlooting. Roads to Antananarivo airport have sometimes been blocked by protests and some internal and international flights have been cancelled. Further protests and disorder are expected and may spread to other parts of Madagascar. PleaseThe follow localgovernment has imposed an overnight curfew in Antananarivo. If you are currently in Madagascar, follow local advice and avoid large gatherings and political demonstrations. Check for messaging from your airline or tour operator before travelling to an airport.
