  • create a related organisation on your lead organisation account
  • add a user from a related organisation account
  • create a Defra account if you’re a related organisation user
  • allocate an account and service role as the lead organisation

Added ‘create a Government Gateway account ‘.Updated the guidance to include instructions for local authorities, government departments and the armed forces selecting ‘sole trader’ when setting up a Defra account. Added that each team needs more than one Administrator, to prevent loss of access if an Administrator leaves the organisation.
