This list of commercial designations (fish names) accepted in the UK includes the scientific name for each species, its common name and any local or regional names.
Commercial designations must be used when marketing fish in the UK and the EU and at the point of sale.

The commercial designations list has been updated. Horse and Jack Mackerel are now separate. Gadus chalcogramma was added to Alaskan Pollock. Queen Fish now includes Katta and all species of Scomberoides.
