MHCLG hasis announcedproviding that£694.17 £633.2 million will be provided to councils in England in the financial year 2025 to 2026 through the Homelessness Prevention Grant,Grant (HPG), to support them to deliver services to tackle and prevent homelessness.
In 2025/26, MHCLG awarded £633.2 million to HPG, with then a £10.9 million top-up in October and a further top-up of £50 million in December, bringing the total of HPG to £694.17 million.
This includesis an uplift of £192.9£253.8 million compared to 2024 to 2025.
MHCLG is announcing a £50 million Homelessness Prevention Grant top-up to all 296 local authorities.
