Details

The Service Police (Complaints etc) Regulations 2023 enable bodies designated by the Secretary of State to make super-complaints about features of Service Policing they think may be harming the interests of the public.

On 5 August 20252025, His Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Constabulary (HMCIC)(HMCI) received a Service Police super-complaint from the Centre for Military Justice. The super-complaint is about the Service PolicePolice’s access to victims’ work e-mailsemails and internet browser history.

HMCICHMCI and the Interim Service Police Complaints Commissioner have assessed this super-complaint and decided it is eligible for investigation.

At the request of the Centre for Military JusticeJustice, we have redacted information whichthat could identify individuals and removed personal information from its submission.
