This guidance will help installation operators understand and comply with their obligations under the UK Emissions Trading Scheme (UK ETS) thatwhich came into force on 1 January 2021. These obligations are set out in the the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme Order 2020 (the order)Order).. 

This guidance applies to installations in thethe UK UK ETS with with hospital or small emitter (HSE) permits. There is separate guidance for for installations with greenhouse gas emissions (GHGE) permits.
