The Transport Data Action Plan (DAP) sets out the Department for Transport’s (DfT) commitments to improve how transport data is used, shared and understood across the sector.

It aims to enable:

  • more information for those who use transport
  • innovation and improved technology
  • efficient transport design and implementation

The plan builds on the 2023 Transport Data Strategy and aligns with Better Connected and wider governmental priorities – using data to unlock digital transformation, innovation, and efficiencies, to further the country’s economic growth.
