Details

The Great Britain nutrition and health claims (NHC) register sets out all authorised and rejected nutrition and health claims.

Only authorised claims in the Great Britain NHC register may be used in Great Britain.

The annex to the Great Britain NHC register lists health claims authorised on the basis of proprietary (privately owned) data.

The register should be used with the guidance on nutrition and health claims on foods.

    1. Updated the 'Great Britain nutrition and health claims register': added 2 non-authorised claims (003UKNHCC for beta-glucan and 004UKNHCC for creatine); and corrected the wording of the non-authorised claim for 001UKNHCC, a combination of 10mg lutein, 2mg zeaxanthin and 10mg meso-zeaxanthin derived from the marigold plant.
