AccelerateA yourstructured market discovery programme supporting public sector innovationorganisations to marketexplore withthe Publiccommercial Researchpotential Innovationof andtheir MarketKnowledge Accelerator (PRIMA) 2026.Assets.  

The Government Office for Technology Transfer (GOTT)), part of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), is running the fourth cohort of the Public Research Innovation and Market Accelerator (PRIMA).), delivered in partnership with Innovate UK.   

ThisPRIMA free,is 10-weeka part-timefree, 10-week part time programme isdesigned for UK designedgovernment toresearch helporganisations. Through expert UKled support, governmentmarket researchvalidation organisationsand exploretailored business development, PRIMA equips teams with the commercialskills potentialand oftools to identify customer segments, develop value propositions and begin their Knowledgecommercialisation Assetsjourney.

What the programme includes

The programme includes:

  • up to £2500 support early-stage market discovery and customer validation activities
  • a two-day in person bootcamp focused on business model development and customer engagement
  • a personalised Market Explorer report covering analysing potential customers, competitors, suppliers and the intellectual property landscape.
  • eight weeks of tailored businessmarket development,validation PRIMAwith empowersweekly coaching teamsfrom a specialist
  • one day of online pitch training, including feedback and refinement
  • the opportunity to buildpitch robustto businessan plansexperienced panel of funders and begininvestors

Throughout theirthe commercialisationprogramme, journey.participants have weekly access to a team of experts and a network of entrepreneurs, investors and funders.

Who can apply

PRIMA byis visitingopen aboutto UK Government Research usOrganisations, including Public forSector Research Establishments (PSREs), UKRI wholly owned institutes, and other public sector bodies that undertake research as a primary function.
