Under section 2.1 "Demonstrating supply chain history," an additional example has been added to the list of acceptable forms of evidence for demonstrating the supply chain history of diamonds processed in third countries through documentation. The new example specifies: "An example of evidence may include, but is not limited to: a verification certificate issued by the Federal Public Service Economy at the Diamond Office, Hoveniersstraat 22, B-2018 Antwerp, Belgium (G7 Certificate)." This update provides users with clear guidance on the specific documentation for demonstrating compliance with supply chain requirements for diamonds processed in third countries.

Guidance on third country processed iron and steel measures updated: guidance on use of the General Trade Licence for the import of sanctioned iron and steel has been added. This notice was amended on 21 June 2022 to reflect the implementation of new import sanctions measures that relate to certain 'revenue generating goods'. The new measures also extend to the provision of ancillary services related to certain iron and steel products.

This notice was amended on 21 April 2022 to reflect the announcement extending import bans to include new import bans on goods such as silver, wood products and high-end products from Russia including caviar. These measures will enter into force in the coming weeks.

Updated notice reflects changes made after the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) (Amendment) (No. 8) Regulations 2022 amended the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019. This amendment extends the existing import sanctions measures by prohibiting the import, acquisition, supply and delivery, directly or indirectly, of finished steel and articles of iron and steel.
