Key stage 2 tests: how to access results and test scripts

Information for headteachers, teachers and local authorities about accessing 20262025 test results, scaled score conversion tables, marked scripts and test papers.

TestAccessing test results and scaled scores

The 20262025 key stage 2 (KS2) test results will be availablepublished forat schools7:30am to view and download on theTuesday ‘Key8 stageJuly.

Schools 2should testaccess resultsthe ‘View and outcomes’download pageKS2 withintest theresults’ ‘Dashboard’form on the NationalPrimary CurriculumAssessment AssessmentsGateway Portal (NCA PortalPAG) fromalongside 7:30am on Tuesday 7 July.

We will also publish the raw score to scaled score conversion tables for the 2026 tests in our collection of past test materials at 9am on Tuesday 7 July, to help schools understand how pupils’ scaled scores are derived from their raw scores..

We recommend schools nominate one NCA PortalPAG user within their organisation to view and download their test results on Tuesday 78 July.

The results will be displayedvisible in 2 different ways:

  • a summary page showing raw scores, scaled scores and test outcomes for all subjects for each pupil
  • a detailed results page providing thea detailsdeeper look for each subject, including pupils’ raw scores, scaled scores and test outcomes

YouA will find a full list of results codes is available in the ‘Code table’Table’ at the bottom of the ‘Key‘View stageand 2download KS2 test resultsresults’ and outcomes’ page on the NCA PortalPAG.

Schools will be able to download their test results in the following formats:

  • common transfer file (CTF) containing all test results or all test results with teacher assessment data
  • comma-separated values (CSV) file containing all test results, all test results with teacher assessment data or test results for specific subjects
  • results letter containing all test results or test results for specific subjects

To access test results for pupils who used a modified version of the tests, open the document in Adobe Acrobat Reader from your downloads and select the yellow pop-up note. This should open the link to view all the scores.

If you cannot see the yellow box, please follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to the PAG.
  2. Select ‘View and download KS2 test results’ from your ‘Available activity’.
  3. Select the subject you wish to view the results for.
  4. Select the result at the side of the pupil’s name in the results table. This will download the results for that pupil in the PDF format.
  5. Select the downloaded PDF and open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  6. Select the yellow text box located on the left of the KS2 heading, on the first page of the document.

Follow the instructions in the yellow text box to view the marks given for each question.

Local authorities and multi-academy trusts

Local authorities and multi-academy trusts will be able to view and download test results in the same formats available to schools. They can choose to download results for all their schools and academies as either a combined file or by selecting anthe individual school or academy from a pre-populated list.

Key stage 3 schools

Schools with a key stage 3 (KS3) intake will be able to view and download test results for their incoming year 7 pupils infrom theWednesday same9 formatsJuly. availableThese to KS2 schools. KS3 schools can enter their DfE number or unique pupil numbers (UPNs) in the ‘Search for pupils’ KS2 results’ formresults’ onform in the NCA‘Available Portalactivity’ section of the PAG.

MarkedTest test scripts

Most test scripts have been scanned and marked onon-screen. screen. Schools will be able to view and download copies of their pupils’ marked test scripts onceby theyselecting havethe selected‘test apaper testscore’ subjecthyperlink. andYou pupilcan withinaccess thethis ‘Keyafter stageselecting 2the test resultssubject within the ‘View and outcomes’download pageKS2 ontest results’ form in the NCA‘Available Portalactivity’ section of the PAG.

Test paper scores without a downloadhyperlink option indicate that the test script has been marked on paper. TheseThe testhard scriptscopies willof notthese bescripts available to download, but the hard copies will be returned to schools by Tuesday 78 July. WhileThey they will contain the marking annotations, but the total pupil result will only be available on the NCA PortalPAG.
