Detail of outcome

On 11 2026 June we published our response on the electrical safety checks TSM, including the final wording that has been added to the TSM Technical Requirements. Consultation description

This consultation includes revisions to the Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard and Consumer Standards Code of Practice and other requirements relating to the Tenant Satisfaction Measures.

We are consulting on:

  • Updates to the Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard and its Code of Practice relating to competence and conduct and Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements. The government has consulted on the competence and conduct and STAIRs requirements and published the outcome of the consultation. We have been directed by the government to reflect these new requirements in our standards.

  • A new TSM on electrical safety checks, following new safety requirements for landlords.

  • Minor changes to the Tenant Satisfaction Measures to align with legislation.

Please note: We have provided HTML versions of the main consultation document, the proposed revised Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard, proposed revised Consumer Standards Code of Practice and impact assessment for accessibility. All other documents are presented in a PDF format. Should you require an alternative format, please email enquiries@rsh.gov.uk to request this.
