Details

Under section 41 of the Online Safety Act Ofcom must prepare and issue codes of practice duties about illegal content, as they relate to terrorism content (section 41(1)), Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSEA) content (section 41(2)) and other illegal content (section 41(3)).

The codes describe measures services can take to fulfil their illegal content duties under the Act.

This is the second draft amendment to the Illegal content Code of Practice. The first draft amendment was issued on 15 May 2026.
