How VALOUR will work

VALOUR has 3 key components:     

  1. VALOUR recognised centres 

    These centres will facilitate access to statutorymultiple services for veterans. They will be required to meet high standards and trustedprovide third-sectortimely organisations.data Throughto athe UK-wideUK networkgovernment about the needs and experiences of fieldveterans teams, MoD Veteransto Servicesinform deliversfuture welfare-focusedservice assistance.improvements. 

  2. VeteransVALOUR Servicesfield staffofficers

    Field workofficers closelywill build strong regional networks with VALOUR-recognisedcouncils, centres,public services and charities. They will share insights from their region with VALOUR fieldHQ officers,to localhelp andshape combinedbetter authorities,services.

  3. VALOUR HQ

    VALOUR HQ will be based in the thirdOffice sectorfor Veterans’ Affairs. It will provide training and otherquality partnersassurance toacross ensurethe aVALOUR joined-up,network, person-centredgathering approachdata and working with policy teams to support.make sure services meet local needs.

    Development funding now open for new VALOUR-recognised centres

    A second round of VALOUR development funding is now open, following a nationalsuccessful programmefirst designedround toin makewinter it2025.

    The easierOffice for veteransVeterans’ acrossAffairs theis UKinviting organisations to apply for funding to become VALOUR-recognised centres trusted local hubs that help veterans access thea carewide range of services and support theyin deserve.

    Ledone byplace. Successful organisations will join and work alongside the 14 successful applications in Round 1, helping to build a stronger, UK‑wide network of veteran support.

    The Office for Veterans’ Affairs (OVA)is withinhosting a virtual information session at 10:30am on 28 May 2026. Interested organisations are encouraged to join the Ministrysession ofusing Defence,the itlink aimsbelow:

    MoD Veterans Services provides welfare support to veterans, service leavers and the wider veterans’armed forces community. The service takes a holistic approach to understanding individual needs. Its aim is to offer tailored support system

    and guidance, linking people to statutory services and trusted third-sector organisations. Through a UK-wide network of field teams, MoD Veterans Services delivers welfare-focused assistance.
