The UK’s approach to deforestation regulations

We are considering our approach to tackling global deforestation in UK supply chains.

Our aim is to strengthen our global deforestation approach. The EU Regulation on Deforestation-free Products (EUDR) will apply in Northern Ireland from the end of 2026.

Our intention is a consistent regulatory environment across the UK internal market, implementing requirements that work with relevant international frameworks such as the EUDR.

We plan to consult later this year and welcome feedback on our policy proposals.
