CameronSeveral Barracksformer (Inverness)military issites are being used or are being considered as temporary accommodation for asylumpeople seekers,who whilehave Crowboroughapplied Trainingfor Campasylum.

Where (Eastnew Sussex)sites isare nowbeing operational.considered or changes to existing sites use are proposed, such as extending occupation or increasing capacity, no final decision will be taken until the necessary assessments, planning permissions and approvals have been completed and properly considered.

The factsheets explain the purpose of using Cameronthese Barrackssites and Crowborough Training Camp as temporary accommodation for asylum seekers who would otherwise be destitute.

The sites are part of the government’s commitment to exitstop hotelusing usehotels to accommodate these people and provide more suitable, managed accommodation.
