This call for evidence is seeking views on the opt-out collective actions regime for competition law claims to contribute to a review of its operation and impact and ensure it is fit for purpose.
The call for evidence progresses the commitment made by government to focus on economic growth with a regime that is proportionate and focuses on redress to consumers where they are due noting this is good for growth and investment.
This call for evidence is seeking views and evidence on the following:
- access to, and the framework for, funding cases within the regime
- scope and certification of cases
- alternative dispute resolution (ADR), settlement, and damages
- distribution of funds
