This guidance provides information and outlines the second edition of the syllabus for the Small Ships Navigation and Radar Course.course.
This guidance replaces the first edition, established in November 2023.
Significant changes in this second edition include:
- permitting UK peripatetic as a delivery type (subject to
MCAthe Maritime and Coastguard Agency’s approval) - introducing a default 1:1 learner-to-workstation basis
This is guidance to all Owners, Masters, Officers, Ratings and those concerned with maritime training. This guidance should be read with with MGN 691.
