Postgraduate student finance applications are now open for 26/27 

Student Finance England (SFE) and Student Finance Wales (SFW) students can now apply for postgraduate Master’s and Doctoral Loans for the 26/27 academic year. 

New students should apply online at: 

SFE:  https://www.gov.uk/student-finance-register-login   

SFW: https://www.studentfinancewales.co.uk/ 

Continuing students don’t need to re-apply for their funding; it automatically rolls over for the next year of your postgraduate course. You should sign in to your online account to make sure your information is up to date. 

SFE students applying for the 26/27 academic year can apply for: 

• a loan of up to £13,206 for a postgraduate Master’s course 

• a loan of up to £31,122 for a postgraduate Doctoral course 

• Disabled Student’s Allowance 

SFW students applying for the 2026 to 2027 academic year can apply for: 

• a loan of up to £19,635 for a postgraduate Master’s course 

• a loan of up to £29,705 for a postgraduate Doctoral course 

• Disabled Student’s Allowance
