The 2025–2026 UK–Taiwan Business Survey was conducted by the British Office Taipei, in collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei, between December 2025 and February 2026. The survey gathered views on current business sentiment among British companies operating in Taiwan, including their outlook for the Taiwanese and global business environment, key concerns, and priorities for UK government policy and UK–Taiwan engagement, with particular focus on the Enhanced Trade Partnership arrangement pillars - Investment, Digital Trade and Energy and Net Zero.
A record 106 companies participated, making this the largest survey since its inception. For the first time, the survey also included Taiwanese companies, providing insight into their perspectives on international trade and doing business with the UK.
Respondents included UK companies, companies with a UK footprint, and Taiwanese businesses, representing a broad range of sectors and company sizes. Throughout the report, respondents are grouped as either “UK companies” or “Taiwan companies” for ease of comparison.
The findings provide an up-to-date assessment of business sentiment and help inform future UK government policy and UK–Taiwan economic engagement.
