Details

The objectives of the IBF are to:

  • Deepen relationships through international partnerships, strengthening the UK as a trusted space partner of choice.
  • Deliver the Government’s economic growth agenda by enabling high-value collaboration, innovation, increased market access and exports.
  • Leverage international partnerships to build priority UK capabilities and protect national security.

We particularly encourage applications to support partnerships with entities in Canada, France, Germany, India, Japan and the USA but also welcome applications for partnerships with other countries, including emerging space nations, where there are strong opportunities to support IBF objectives. All applications must clearly evidence how the partnership supports both UK and partner country space priorities.

Projects can be up to 18 months and must begin on 1 April 2027. Up to £1.5m is available in UK Space Agency grant funding for each project. With at least £12 million available, the UK Space Agency expects to fund between 8 and 12 projects.
