Before you start
You can use this form to request certain amendments to anto request amendments to an existing excise generalexcise warehousekeeper, general storage or storage or trade facility warehousefacility approval and towarehouse addapproval. new premises. You can apply to: to:

You cannot use this form to make changes to a motor and heating fuels warehouse. You should read Motor and heating fuels general information and accounting for excise duty and VAT (Excise Notice 179).
When you should apply to make changes
You must tell HMRC as soon as possible. You must wait for approval before you make any of the requested changes.
What you’ll need
To applyTo apply, you must use a Government Gateway ID that is linked to makea amendmentsUnique youTaxpayer Reference (UTR) number for either:
- Self Assessment
- Corporation Tax
You will also need to provide:
- your business details
- your contact details
- the warehousekeeper name and ID
- warehouse premises details, including name, address, type of warehouse and the type of goods that will be stored there
- details of operations you wish to carry out on goods at the warehouse, if applicable
- details of any annexe warehouses, if applicable
- a copy of your business plan
- a copy of your premises plan

You’ll need to sign in to apply online. If you do not already have sign in details, you’ll be able to create them.
If you cannot apply online
Contact HMRC in writing to ask for a paper form, if you:
- object to using computers on religious grounds
- cannot use computers because of your age, a disability or because you do not have internet access where you live
