Use form MATCF to apply for Marriage Allowance to transfer 10% of your Personal Allowance to your husband, wife or civil partner.
You must use form MATCF to apply for Marriage Allowance by post. Any other postal claims will not be accepted.
You and your husband, wife or civil partner can use this form to apply for Marriage Allowance. This lets one of you transfer 10% of your Personal Allowance to the other, who can then claim the value of that allowance.

Any claims received by HMRC on or after 26 February 2024 must be made using the new ‘Apply by post for Marriage Allowance on or after 26 February 2024’ form. Claims received using the old form will be rejected.

Post it to the address shown on page 3 of the form.
