Overview

We attend a range of events to meet customers and give advice and guidance on planting woodland. We also hold face-to-face and online training events and webinars on specific grant schemes and areas of forestry, that we encourage people to sign up to in advance.

We update this page regularly with new events.

Upcoming events

Burwarton Show

Date: 1 August 2024 (Shropshire)

Join us at the Burwarton Show in Shropshire where the team will be available to discuss woodland creation and the benefits of trees. Find us in the Livestock section.

Tenbury Show

Date: 3 August 2024 (Worcestershire)

We will be at Tenbury Show in Worcestershire to talk about woodland creation, woodland management and the benefits of trees.

Wiltshire Game & Country Fair

Date: 10 to 11 August 2024

We will have a stand at this year’s Wiltshire Game & Country Fair. We will have experts on hand to answer any questions you might have around woodland creation, woodland management and the grants available. Come and meet us to get one-to-one advice on what the best options are for you and your land.

Edenbridge & Oxted Agricultural Show

Date: 25 to 26 August 2024 (Surrey)

We will be at the Edenbridge and Oxted Show. Come and talk to us about woodland creation and management, and tree health. Get one-to-one advice on the grants and incentives available and what the best options are for you and your land.

Bucks County Show

Date: 29 August 2024

Join us and Catchment Sensitive Farming at the Bucks County Show. Come and talk to us about woodland creation and management, and the grants and incentives available.

Alresford Show

Date: 7 September 2024 (Hampshire)

Pie in a Pub: Carbon and Woodland Talk

Date: 18 September 2024 (Shropshire)

Creating new woodlands is a proven way to help tackle the effects of climate change. It can also generate income from the sale of official carbon units and support businesses to reach carbon targets. Join us at Pie in a Pub as we introduce the Woodland Carbon Code to help you understand the opportunities.

Association of Professional Foresters (APF 2024)

Date: 19 to 21 September 2024 (Warwickshire)

Come and meet us at APF 2024. We’ll be giving advice and support on woodland creation, woodland management, and pests and diseases. See Forest Research demonstrating their work in their innovative mobile laboratory.

The Collingham Show

Date: 21 September 2024 (Nottinghamshire)

National Forestry Conference 2024

Date: 9 October 2024

The annual Forestry Conference, organised by the CLA, Forestry Commission and Grown in Britain, is back for a 17th year. The 2024 focus is ‘Products, People and Possibilities’,  taking a practical and informed look at a range of market opportunities, and will feature a packed programme of sessions and talks.

Woodland Creation and Deer Management

Date: 15 October 2024 (Shropshire)

From agroforestry, landscape recovery, to deer and squirrel management, explore the role trees can play in creating a sustainable business at Woodland Creation and Deer Management in Shropshire. Hear from experts with a series of talks in the morning, followed by an afternoon workshop where you can get one-to-one advice on your land.
