A calendar of online and face-to-face Forestry Commission events, and details of shows and exhibitions we are attending.

Applies to England

We attend a range of events to give advice on planting woodland, and what grants are available.

We also hold training events and webinars on specific funding schemes and areas of forestry. We encourage you to sign up in advance to ensure your place.

Bucks County Show

28 August 2025 (Buckinghamshire)

Come and talk to the Forestry Commission at the Bucks County Show about the benefits of woodland on your farm and the grants and incentives available.

Farm walk and talk

4 September 2025 (Dorset)

Come and join our farm walk and talk around planting trees on your land. Discuss the benefits of trees, grants available and see agroforestry in practice. Coordinated by the Farm Consultancy Group in conjunction with the Forestry Commission. Book your place on Eventbrite.

Alresford Show

6 September 2025 (Hampshire)

Visit the Forestry Commission stand at the Alresford Show where we will be on hand to answer any queries on woodland creation, management and tree health.

Farm walk at Orchard Park Farms

9 September 2025 (Somerset)

Visit Orchard Park Farms to see how Neil Macdonald, woodland owner and apple grower, manages his land and has diversified. Talk to the Forestry Commission team to discuss the benefits of trees on your land and grants available. Book your place on Eventbrite.

Agroforestry Show

10 to 11 September 2025 (Hertfordshire)

Join us at the Agroforestry Show. We’ll be sharing practical ideas about integrating trees, woodland and forestry into the farmed landscape to improve biodiversity, soil health, provide protection and increase productivity for crops and livestock.

Farm walk: The Grower

24 September 2025 (Cornwall)

Join us for a farm walk at The Grower tree nursery in Cornwall, where we’ll be hosted by the founders Inez Williams-King and Chris King to explore tree production and the benefits of planting trees on farm. Inez is our most recent Forestry Commission Woodland Ambassador for the Southwest, advocating woodland creation and sustainable woodland management.

Brailsford Ploughing Match

1 October 2025 (Derbyshire)

The Forestry Commission will be on hand at the Brailsford Ploughing Match to discuss woodland creation and the benefits of woodland on your farm and the grants and incentives available.

National Forestry Conference

8 October 2025 (Berkshire)

Jointly organised by Forestry Commission, CLA and Grown in Britain this all-day conference provides a strong platform to hear from a range of forestry experts and case studies, share experiences, network and collaborate.
