The Local Authority Treescapes Fund (LATF) is closed.

Submit an LATF claim

CompleteRead the claims guidance for existing grant holders before completing the relevant forms for each claim.

For pre-planting claims submit the following forms:

  • LATF pre-planting claim form
  • LATFsigned non-RDPE post-plantingclaims reportdeclaration andform

For claim,post-planting claims, read the post-planting report guide and submit the following forms:

  • LATF maintenancePPR claim form (annually for 3 years following each year of planting), see more on final maintenance claims
  • a signed non-RDPE claims declaration form (for all claims)

Maintenance claims deadline

The beforelead completing.local Youauthority should:

  • complete the beat-up survey during the 20242025 growing season, and then plant any replacements plantedneeded to ensure that the 75% survival rate is achieved in the winter planting season (and before the claim is submitted by 31 March)
  • submit one beat-up survey with your final maintenance claimclaim, which includes all trees planted and claimed in your 2022-23 post-planting report

We can only accept one beat-up survey per final maintenance claim. This should be collated and submitted by the lead local authority.

You can also request a beat-up survey form from LATF@forestrycommission.gov.uk.

Claims due in 2024-252025-26 will not be paid if they are submitted after 31 March 2025.2026.

You must submit claims during the submission period. Read more about when you can apply.

  8. Edited the beat-up survey guide to reflect changes in submitting photos (now 10% of site). Small edits made to clarify that only one beat up survey is required.

  9. The post-planting report (PPR) guide has been updated to clarify what is needed when sending supporting and photographic files.

  10. Added LATF beat up survey guidance, and LATF beat up survey forms.

  11. Added further information regarding claims deadlines 2024-25 and added a new maintenance claim form.

  12. Added updated version of the guidance, and 2 new forms: Claims declaration form (non-RDPE) and LATF maintenance claim form.

  13. Updated for new application round.

  14. Local Authority Treescapes Fund round 3 is now open.
