Submit an LATF claim

Read the claims guidance for existing grant holders before completing the relevant forms for each claim.

For pre-planting claims submit the following forms:

  • LATF pre-planting claim form
  • signed non-RDPE claims declaration form

For post-planting claims, read the post-planting report guide and submit the following forms:

  • LATF PPR claim form
  • signed non-RDPE claims declaration form

For maintenance claims, read the beat up survey guidance and submit the following:

  • LATF maintenance claim declaration form
  • a beat-up survey for the final maintenance year (years 4 and 5 if you have a 2 year agreement) read more on final maintenance claims

Planting claim deadlines for the financial year 2025-26 (Round 4 only)

Submit pre-planting claim 3 (approved deferrals only) before midnight on 31 March 2026. 

Submit post-planting claim 4 (approved deferrals only) before midnight on 31 March 2026, and once year 2 planting is complete.

Claims will not be paid if they are submitted after the deadline.

Maintenance claims deadlines (all rounds)

You must submit maintenance claims between 1 October 2025 and midnight on 31 March 2026. We cannot accept maintenance claims submitted before 1 October of the financial year in which they are due.

For 2025-26 onwards you only need to complete and submit a ‘LATF maintenance claim declaration form’ (and beat-up survey for final maintenance claims). If you already submitted the previous LATF maintenance claim Excel form for 2025-26 with a declaration form, you do not need to resubmit your claim.

Final maintenance claims for Round 1 and 2

The lead local authority should:

  • complete the beat-up survey during the 2025 growing season, and then plant any replacements needed to ensure that the 75% survival rate is achieved in the winter planting season (and before the claim is submitted by 31 March)
  • submit one beat-up survey with your final maintenance claim, which includes all trees planted and claimed in your 2022-23 post-planting report

We can only accept one beat-up survey per final maintenance claim.

Claims due in 2025-26 will not be paid if they are submitted after 31 March 2026.

  8. An update to photo evidence requirements to align with UTCF. Smaller updates and improvements to pre-planting, post-planting and maintenance claim forms have also been made.

  9. Edited the beat-up survey guide to reflect changes in submitting photos (now 10% of site). Small edits made to clarify that only one beat up survey is required.

  10. The post-planting report (PPR) guide has been updated to clarify what is needed when sending supporting and photographic files.

  11. Added LATF beat up survey guidance, and LATF beat up survey forms.

  12. Added further information regarding claims deadlines 2024-25 and added a new maintenance claim form.

  13. Added updated version of the guidance, and 2 new forms: Claims declaration form (non-RDPE) and LATF maintenance claim form.
