Cortes v Transport Salaried Staffs Association: 18 September 2025

The applicant made three complaints under section 108A of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992, that the union had breached its rules in relation to disciplinary proceedings.

The applicant made two complaints under section 108A of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992,1992. The complaints are that the union had breached its rules when the Chairperson unilaterally appointed unelected individuals to the Executive Central Committee (ECC) and introduced a new rule on Disciplinary Procedure into the Union’s Rule Book.

The applicant made seven complaints under section 108A of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992, that the union had breached its rules in relation to the 2023 Solent branch elections.
